Chelsea close in on surprise striker as manager approves of the transfer
Premier League champions might announce the capture of a surprise striker in the coming weeks as manager approves of the transfer to a rival club.
Chelsea have been in the market in search of a striker after boss Antonio Conte told Diego Costa he is not in his plans for the upcoming season.
They have been linked with a move for either Alvaro Morata, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andrea Belotti but it seems Sergio Aguero could join Chelsea from a rival club.
According to Spanish journalist Spanish journalist Manu Sainz the Argentine could be leading the attack for the champions this upcoming season after Pep Guardiola said yes to the deal.
Sainz tweeted this afternoon: “They tell me that Chelsea want to Kun Aguero. Guardiola would have already given the ok to operation…”.
Me cuentan que el Chelsea quiere al Kun Agüero. Guardiola ya habría dado el ok a la operación…

Aguero has scored 122 Premier League goals for City in 181 games since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2011 he could be a perfect repalcesment if the deal goes through
He has become a hero at City and will always be remembered for the dramatic late winner against QPR in 2012 to lead them to their first league title in 44 years.
