Chelsea confirm signing of Tosin Adarabioyo as first major transfer
Chelsea have officially confirmed the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo, a player eligible for the Super Eagles, marking their first major acquisition of the summer transfer window.
The Blues secured the services of the Fulham defender after expressing strong interest.
Adarabioyo joined Fulham in 2020 and quickly established himself as a key player in Marco Silva’s defensive lineup. His impressive performances over the past season have earned him a move to Chelsea after four successful seasons with Fulham.
Chelsea announced the signing on their official X (formerly Twitter) page with the caption, “Tosin is a BLUE!” The announcement included a photo of Adarabioyo signing his contract, which is set to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2028.
Adarabioyo, who joined Chelsea as a free agent, expressed his excitement about the move. “Chelsea is a huge club, and this is a full-circle moment for me,” he said. “I was born three miles away from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there. I’m very excited and looking forward to helping push the club in the direction we want to go.”
The signing of Adarabioyo is seen as a strategic move for Chelsea, who are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season under the guidance of new manager Maresca. With this first major signing, Chelsea are expected to continue their search for top talents to bolster their team further.
