Chelsea could be set to received a huge amount of money after latest rumours linking their academy graduate and player to a move to Manchester United.
The London club sold Tariq Lamptey for just to Brighton and Hove for £3million on deadline day in January 2020 against their wish.
Tariq who at the time was third choice center back and felt ready pushed for a move away from Chelsea to Brighton where he has caught the eyes of many top clubs.
The 21-year-old right back had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, and Bayern Munich but it looks like he could be heading to Manchester United.
Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick is set to be shopping for a new right back who will replace Aaron Wan Bissaka and Diogo Dalot.
And Tariq Lamptey the former Chelsea player is said to be his preferred choice – a move for the Ghanaian-born player means Chelsea get a percentage of the deal.
The London club reportedly failed to negotiate a buy-back but did enough to put a percentage sell-on clause on the deal which took Lamptey to Brighton.
In other news, Chelsea are reportedly making progress on their contract renewal talks with Antonio Rudiger.
According to the atlantic, Chelsea are holding discussions with Antonio Rudiger’s representative again.
And it It is believed that the German centre-back is demanding a four-year deal worth around £180k-a-week to £200k-a-week.
