Chelsea sign Thiago Silva to take summer signings to six

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain legend Thiago SIlva on a free transfer to take their summer transfer to six.

With just few weeks into the new transfer window, the London club have completed the signing of six players; three on reported fees while three others including joined for free.

Thiago Silva the latest addition and their sixth signing joined them for free after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.

The former Milan defender said he is looking forward to starting life at Chelsea under Frank Lampard.

So far this summer, Chelsea have signed Ben Chilwell for a reported fee of £50m, Timo Werner for £47.5m, Hakim Ziyech for £33.6m.

While the likes of Malang Sarr, Xavier Mbuyamba and Thiago Silva joined for free after their contracts at their previous clubs expired.
