Chicago Bulls win to secure best start to a season since 1996

Celtics end Hornets' winning start as Nuggets lose

Chicago Bulls continued their brilliant start to the season by picking up a 111-108 win over the Toronto Raptors to improve their record for the season to 4-0, representing their best start to a season in the NBA since the 1996/97 season.

DeMar DeRozan continued with his impressive form since joining the Chicago Bulls from the San Antonio Spurs as he led the scoring with 26 points. Zach LaVine contributed 22 points, with Nikola Vucevic and Lonzo Ball recording 17 and 15 points, respectively.

D’Tigers center Precious Achiuwa recorded a double-double for the Raptors as he contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds for the side. The Chicago Bulls are the only undefeated side left in the Eastern Conference.

Ime Udoka and the Boston Celtics recorded an OT win over the Charlotte Hornets to end their winning start to the season. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 71 points as the Celtics ran out 140-129 winners in the match.

Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Indiana Pacers 119-110 to improve their record to 3-1. Giannis Antetokounmpo contributed 30 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists for the Bucks in their win. D’Tigers star Jordan Nwora contributed nine points, four rebounds and three assists.

Kevin Durant led the Brooklyn Nets to a 104-90 win over the Washington Wizards to improve their record to 2-2 after four matches. The experienced small forward contributed 25 points with eight rebounds and four assists for the Nets in the game. Australian star Patty Mills contributed 21 points off the bench.

Atlanta Hawks defeated the Detroit Pistons 122-104. Trae Young led the scoring for last season’s conference finalists with 32 points, four rebounds and nine assists in the match.

Miami Heat defeated the Orlando Magic 107-90 to improve their record to 2-1. D’Tigers duo of Gabe Vincent and KZ Okpala made cameo appearances as Jimmy Butler led the scoring for the side with 36 points, three rebounds and two assists.

The New Orleans Pelicans finally picked up their first win of the season at the fourth time of asking as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 107-98. Brandon Ingram led the scoring with 27 points and nine rebounds, but Jonas Valanciunas stole the show with his haul of 22 points and 23 rebounds. D’Tigers forward Josh Okogie featured for the Timberwolves.

Veteran Kevin Love led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 99-87 win over the Denver Nuggets. The 33-year-old contributed 22 points to help his side pick up the win and improve their record to 2-2.

An inspired team effort saw the Los Angeles Clippers pick up their first win of the season with a 116-86 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Luke Kennard recorded 23 points, with Reggie Jackson, Paul George and Terrence Mann contributing 18, 16 and 13 points, respectively.
