Chukwudi Igbokwe completes move to Rio Ave

Nigerian forward Chukwudi Igbokwe has secured a move to Portuguese Primeira Liga side Rio Ave, signing a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old attacker previously played for the Belgian Jupiler Pro League side KAA Gent last season. He left the club following the expiration of his contract.

Rio Ave released an official statement confirming the agreement: “Rio Ave Futebol Clube – Futebol, SAD reached an agreement with athlete Chukwudi Igbokwe to sign a contract valid until June 2026.”

Before his stint in Belgium, Igbokwe played for Nigeria’s U23 team. His move to Rio Ave marks a significant step in his career, and he is expected to bring his talent and experience to the Portuguese club.
