Chukwuebuka Enekwechi advances to men’s Shot Put final in Paris Olympics

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has qualified for the final of the men’s shot put at the 2024 Paris Olympics, competing in his second Olympic Games for Nigeria.

Enekwechi achieved a best throw of 21.13 meters to secure his spot in the final.

Although the automatic qualification mark was set at 21.35 meters, Enekwechi, who is enjoying the best season of his career in 2024, made it through with his initial throw.

He followed up with a 21.00-meter effort in the second round. Despite a foul in the third round, his performances were enough to advance him to the final, where he finished fifth overall in qualification group B. The final will take place on Saturday night.
