” Chukwuemeka will play for England ” _ Ragnick reveals

Carney Chukwuemeka will dish Austria and Nigeria to represent England at full international level according to former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick .

Chukwuemeka was born in Austria to Nigerian parents but was raised in Northampton, England and so feels more English.

The Midfielder currently represents England at Youth Level and sometime ago confessed he was eyeing a spot in the Three Lions squad to European Championship in 2024 .

Rangnick is currently head coach of the Austrian National team and offered response to speculations contact has been made to have the Chelsea Midfielder represent Das team.

The manager is on the look out for players with dual nationality to beef up the Austrian National team but he is not looking at Chukwuemeka as an option.

As reported by Austrian newspaper Der Standard, Rangnick said in a media parley with the Austrian Sports Journalists’ Association : “For all we know, he (Chuwkuemeka) will play for England”.

This thought aligns with the 19-year olds comment in December 2022.

“It’s also my dream to play for my country England,” Chukwuemeka said.

“I’ve set my self this goal to play at EURO 2024. Obviously, I’ve got to keep on working hard and then we’ll see what happens.

Chukwuemeka has represented England at U17, U18 and U20 level and will all things being equal head to the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup with the Young Lions.
