Chukwueze scores in AC Milan pre-season win
Samuel Chukwueze scored his first goal for AC Milan in a 4-2 win over Novara to conclude pre-season activities ahead of the 2023/2024 season.
The Nigerian wingers opened the scoring for the Rossoneri after being played through by fellow new signing Noah Okafor. Chukwueze was one-on-one with the goalkeeper and dutifully rounded him to score his first in Milan colours.
Okafor then doubled AC Milan’s lead when he poked home a rebound from Chukwueze’s goal bound attempt.
Novara halved the scores through Corti to keep a 2-1 first half score .
Inside the opening ten minutes of the second half, Calabria restored Milan’s two-goal lead when he picked the ball up about 30 yards, dribbled past two players before firing with his left foot inside the near post.
Prinelli gave Novara hope of a fightback when he scored for 3-2 but substitute Lorenzo Colombo capped the win for AC Milan with a well taken volley to seal a 4-2 result in AC Milan’s final pre-season game.
Stephan Pioli has had time to see his new signing Samuel Chukwueze as he prepares to face Bologna in their opening game of the Italian Serie A season.
