Chukwueze Scores Two, Iwobi One as Nigerian Duo Nearly Spark Famous Fulham Comeback

Nigerian stars Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi almost led Fulham to an incredible comeback against Manchester City on Tuesday night.
Both players scored, with Iwobi getting one goal and Chukwueze hitting a brilliant brace, but Fulham still fell short in a 5–4 defeat at Craven Cottage.
Manchester City raced into a 5–1 lead early in the second half, thanks to Erling Haaland’s 100th Premier League goal, two from Phil Foden, one from Tijjani Reijnders, and an own goal by Sander Berge.
Fulham looked out of the game, but everything changed when Chukwueze came on as a substitute.
Iwobi pulled one back in the 57th minute, and then Chukwueze scored twice in quick succession — in the 72nd and 78th minutes — to make it 5–4 and set up a dramatic finish.
Fulham pushed hard for an equaliser and even had a late shot cleared off the line in stoppage time, but City just managed to hold on for the win.
Despite the defeat, Chukwueze and Iwobi were the stars of the night, nearly inspiring one of the greatest comebacks in Premier League history.
