City win the league, Spurs beat Arsenal to 4th spot as Son and Salah share golden boot
Manchester City have claimed the 2021/2022 English Premier League title after coming from two goals down to claim a 3-2 win against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The title, top scorer award, and five other categories were yet to be determined going into the last Premier League fixtures of the season.
Seven Categories were decided in the PL on Sunday
7. Golden Glove
Both Alison Becker and Ederson Santana de Moraes finished the season with 20 clean sheets and both won the golden glove.
6. Best Playmaker
Mo Salah with 13 assists beats Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander Arnold with 12 assists for the best playmaker or the player with the most assists award.
Salah became the fourth player to end a Premier League season top for both goals (23) and assists (13), after Andy Cole (93-94), Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (98-99) and Harry Kane (20-21).
5. The Golden Boot
Mo Salah shared the golden boot award with Tottenham’s Son Heung-min both finished the season with 23 goals.
For Mo Salah, it is his third golden boot award, only Thierry Henry has more golden boot awards, the former Arsenal man won four awards.
4. Survival/Relegation battle
Leeds United defeated Brentford 2-1 while Burnley suffered a 2-1 loss to Newcastle, hence, Burnley were relegated alongside Watford and Norwich.
3. Last Europa League spot
Manchester United and West Ham were defeated in the last games of the season, hence, Man United hung on to the 6th spot, 2 more points than the Hammers.

Tottenham finished with 71 points after a 5-0 win against already relegated Norwich and Arsenal with 69 points after a 5-1 win against Everton missed out on the top four.
