Club Brugge manager hints at possible transfer for Nigeria’s Raphael Onyedika

Club Brugge manager Nicky Hayen has hinted that Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika might be on his way out of the club this summer.

According to multiple sources, several European and Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest in the Nigerian international, eager to add him to their squads for the upcoming season.

Onyedika’s Future at Club Brugge

Hayen acknowledged Onyedika’s recent health issues but expressed hope that the midfielder’s value to the team would be recognized. “Onyedika was a bit sick last week and is still not 100 percent fit. But he has already shown what value he has for the team. So I hope we can enjoy that for a while,” Hayen said, as reported by Voetbalkrant.

Interest from Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace, looking to strengthen their midfield, has reportedly included Onyedika on their transfer list. The club has also been linked with Leicester City’s defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, who recently extended his contract with the Foxes.

The Sun reports that Crystal Palace’s sporting director, Dougie Freedman, is personally scouting Onyedika, and the club is closely monitoring his situation at Club Brugge. The scouts are said to be impressed with his performances.

Club Brugge is reportedly setting a price tag of at least 15 million euros for Onyedika, with some sources suggesting a figure as high as 20 million pounds (approximately 23 million euros or 26 billion naira).
