Club Brugge Reject Two Bids for Raphael Onyedika

Belgian giants Club Brugge have rejected two offers for Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika.
The 24-year-old has attracted strong interest following his impressive performances for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. English club Aston Villa and Turkish side Galatasaray have both been linked with the midfielder in recent weeks.
Onyedika reportedly agreed personal terms with Galatasaray during the summer transfer window. However, Club Brugge placed a price tag of €25 million on the player. Galatasaray instead submitted a loan offer worth €5 million, with a compulsory €15 million purchase clause at the end of next season, but the Belgian club turned it down.
Club Brugge are said to be unwilling to allow Onyedika leave during the winter transfer window and have rejected approaches from Galatasaray twice. The club prefers to keep the midfielder until at least the summer, when a transfer could be considered.
The Belgian champions are also believed to favour selling to clubs in England, Spain, Italy or Germany rather than to Turkish teams.
Onyedika joined Club Brugge in 2022 and has since become a key figure in the team’s midfield. He has made 165 appearances for the club and scored eight goals.
Despite the growing interest, Club Brugge remain firm on keeping one of their most important players for the rest of the season.
