Coco Gauff opens up on Friendship With Singer Ravyn Lenae

Coco Gauff has opened up about her friendship with R&B singer Ravyn Lenae, saying that it has given her a chance to step away from the pressure of professional sport.

The pair first met in London last year and have since stayed close, attending events together and supporting each other’s careers.

Gauff said the friendship developed naturally after the two unexpectedly crossed paths.

“Just two young girls trying to be successful in different fields, and we just wanted to try to see if there’s a friendship there.”

The tennis star also admitted that she has been making a conscious effort to build friendships away from the tennis world.

“I’ve been trying to become more friends with people outside of tennis, just so I can have a break.”

Gauff has also been supporting Lenae’s new album, Blue Island, which was released last week. She praised the singer’s talent and encouraged her fans to listen to the record.

“I love Ravyn so much. I think she’s so talented and so underrated.”

For Gauff, this friendship gives her a chance to simply have a life outside tennis.
