Chelsea have agreed to pay €50m (£45m) to trigger the release clause of Werner, who is set to earn more than €10m (£9m) per season worth £170k-a-week.

A £12m fee is reportedly paid to his agent Karlheinz Forster, taking the total outlay to more than £100m over five years.

The RB Leipzig striker will also sign a five-year deal and also join his new teammates this July meaning he wouldn’t be available for selection when RB Leipzig continue their Champions League chase this summer.
