Cristiano Ronaldo breaks 95 years Juventus goal record
Cristiano Ronaldo has broken a 95 year old Juventus record with his strike against Lyon in the UEFA Champions League clash on Friday.
The former Real Madrid star converted from the spot kick to bring his side level against the French club to match the record of 36 goals.
He became just the only Juventus player to score 37 goals in a single season for the Italian side after scoring a beautiful goal breaking the record that stood for 95 years.
As at the time of this report his 37th goal of the season put Juventus 2-1 up against Lyon one short of what is need to qualify.
Interestingly. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 20 goals in his last 13 home Champions League knockout matches. In total, he has scored 67 goals in the knock-out stages of the competition, 21 more than any other player (Lionel Messi, 46).
