Cristiano Ronaldo made an impressive return to competitive action, contributing a goal and an assist in Al-Nassr’s 2-0 victory over Al-Taawoun in the Saudi Super Cup semi-final.

Ronaldo doubled the advantage with a neat finish in the 57th minute, following a setup by Sultan Al-Ghannam. The Portuguese superstar almost added a second, but his shot hit the woodwork.
In a setback for Al-Nassr, midfielder Marcelo Brozovic was sent off in stoppage time after a VAR review reversed the referee’s initial decision, following a reckless challenge.
Looking ahead, Ronaldo and Al-Nassr will face Al-Hilal in the Super Cup final on August 17. The victory in this match would add to Ronaldo’s impressive haul of trophies, following his Arab Club Champions Cup win in 2023.
