Daniel Jackson “didi” scores a brace on his Cercle de Joachim debut
Nigerian striker Daniel Jackson who recently joined the Mauritian league side Cercle de Joachim scored a goal each half as his club beat Petite-Riviere-Noire 4-1 away from home in the Barclays Mauritius Premier League.
Jackson whose last club in the Nigeria Professional Football League was with Niger Tornadoes assisted his club’s first goal before scoring a goal each half to help his club beat Petite-Riviere-Noire in front of their own fans.
Petite-Riviere-Noire took the lead in the in the 8th minute through Lalouette, with Jackson and co knocking on their door they got their equalizer through their Ghanaian striker Abraham Odame with Jackson providing the assist.
Jackson put his club in front in the 28th minute with a beautiful strike, he then made it three from the spot in the 76th minute to register his brace.
Cercle de Joachim weren’t done yet as there was still room for Abraham Odame who partnered Jackson to also score his second of the day and Cercle de Joachim’s fourth goal.
The former Rivers United striker told sportlineng.com his happiness knows no bound following his dream debut:”I am so happy, thank God for my debut I can’t ask for more.
“I just want to thank God for His grace, this year I have been enjoying his favour my prayer is that it continues,” he said.
