De Laurentiis gives an update on Osimhen’s injury
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has given an update on Victor Osimhen’s injury during a Lega Serie A meeting on Friday.
Aurelio De Laurentiis confirmed that Victor Osimhen came back to Napoli with a muscular injury to the adductor in his left thigh just as we reported earlier, but he would only be out for a couple of weeks.
When the news of his injury first broke out it was assumed that he would be out for a while but Aurelio De Laurentiis told reporters he might not be out for so long.
He also confirmed that Victor Osimhen will be re-evaluated next week.
“He should be out for a couple of weeks, we hope,” said the President as quoted by FootballItalia.
Contrary to the earlier report, Victor Osimhen is not expected to miss up to 6 games but he is out of Napoli’s clash with AC Milan this weekend.
Until his re-evaluation next week, it will just be guesswork determining the number of games he would miss.
Napoli would love to have Victor Osimhen back in the fold as they face Milan in the Champions League quarter-final, with the first leg at San Siro on April 12 and the decider on April 18.
Napoli’s schedule for April:
