For most European leagues the 2022-23 January transfer window has closed, with many teams scrambling around to get deals done on deadline day. Here are a few of them:
Chelsea smashed the Premier League’s transfer record on Deadline Day as they completed the acquisition of Argentine midfielder Enzo FernĂ¡ndez for around €120 million. The deal took place after a protracted transfer negotiation between Chelsea and Benfica for the 22-year-old, who was the Best Young Player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Italian midfielder Jorginho moved across London from Chelsea to Arsenal in a deal worth around £12 million. The 31-year-old moved to the Emirates after over four years with Chelsea. He signed a deal for one-and-a-half years with the Premier League leaders on Deadline Day.
PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas completed a deadline day switch to Nottingham Forest. The former Real Madrid goalkeeper joined the Reds on a six-month loan and will provide competition to Manchester United loanee Dean Henderson at City Ground.
After confirming that Christian Eriksen will miss most of the remainder of the season through injury, Manchester United completed a loan move for Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer from Bayern Munich.
Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi completed a move to OGC Nice from FC Lorient on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy in a deal worth €30 million in total.
Exciting Ghanaian youngster Kamaldeen Sulemana completed a deadline day switch to Southampton from Rennes. The 20-year-old winger cost the Saints in the region of €25 million, a club-record fee.
After protracted negotiations, Tottenham Hotspur completed a deal for Sporting Lisbon right-back Pedro Porro. Spurs also released Matt Doherty from his contract, allowing him to join Atletico Madrid on a deal until the end of the season.
Ivorian attacker Hamed Traore, older brother to Manchester United youngster Amad joined Bournemouth on a loan deal with an obligation to buy for around €30 million from Sassuolo at the end of the season.
Former Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey completed a move from Newcastle United to Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed amount. The Englishman put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal.
Hector Bellerin completed a transfer from FC Barcelona to Sporting Lisbon for €1 million. The right-back will play for Sporting until the end of the season.
Thorgan Hazard joined Dutch side PSV on loan from Borussia Dortmund in a surprise deadline day transfer.
Leicester City signed Australian defender Harry Souttar from Championship side Stoke City in a deal that cost up to £15 million.
