Desire Oparanozie clamours for NFF attention for Super Falcons stars

Former Super Falcons star, Desire Oparanozie, has taken a stand clamoring for support from President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau for injured women footballers.

Oparanozie’s comment comes after Gusau visited several injured Super Eagles players, including William Ekong, Moses Simon, and Zaidu Sanusi, who are recovering from injuries in their respective club sides across Europe.

Expressing her view on the visits, Oparanozie highlighted the absence of similar gestures towards injured Super Falcons players, specifically mentioning Oluwatosin Demehin and Ashleigh Plumptre, who are currently nursing injuries.

She emphasised the importance of extending support and encouragement to female players as well, saying that Demehin and Plumptre deserve the same level of attention and care as their male counterparts.

Desire Oparanozie said: “It will be more nice if this is extended to the women too. Oluwatosin Demehin is currently injured and is in the same country as Simon. Ashleigh Plumptre is injured too.”
