” Devastated ” Victor Moses sends message to Fans ahead of Surgery

Spartak Moscow Nigerian forward Victor Moses has taken to social media to thank fans for their support following his Injury on Saturday.

 

The former Liverpool and Chelsea star ruptured his Achilles tendon in the 33rd minute of Spartak’s 2-0 win over Ural in the Russian Premier League .

 

Since the news of his injury went viral, Moses has received well wishes from football fans all over the world , a thought the winger appreciates.

 

Moses also described his feeling about the Injury which is expected to keep him out of action for 6 months in a social media post on Tuesday August 9.

 

” Devastated to have suffered an injury in the game at the weekend,” Moses wrote on Social media .

 

 

” I will be doing all I can to recover and get back fully fit as quickly as possible to help the team. Thank you so much to everyone at the club and all of the fans for your fantastic support. I’ll be back stronger,” He concluded .

 

The Injury to Victor Moses is a huge blow to Spartak Moscow as the club pushes for a 23rd Russian Premier League title .

 

The Nigerian scored two goals in the opening four games of the season to help the Russian club to three wins and a draw to sit second on the standings .

 

The message from Spartak Moscow confirming the Injury on the clubs website read

“Spartak midfielder Victor Moses, who was injured in the match of the 4th round of the Russian Premier League in Yekaterinburg, underwent a medical examination,”

 

“The Nigerian was diagnosed with damage to the Achilles tendon. The player will have to undergo surgery. It will take about six months to recover from the injury. We wish Victor a speedy return to the field.” Spartak Moscow concluded .
