Dominic Solanke names his favourite Super Eagles star
Tottenham Hotspur forward Dominic Solanke has revealed his favourite player in the Nigerian Super Eagles squad, SportsRation reports.
Solanke, who was once eligible to play for Nigeria due to his heritage, chose to represent England but has maintained strong connections with Nigerian players in Europe.
In an interview with Showmax, Solanke shared his admiration for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
“My favourite Nigerian footballer at the moment has to be Ademola Lookman. We are very good friends, and what he has done over the last few years has been extraordinary,” Solanke said.
He praised Lookman’s achievements with the Super Eagles, saying, “What he has achieved has been phenomenal, particularly for the Nigerian national team, so I was incredibly proud.”
Lookman’s form has been remarkable this season, scoring 11 goals for both club and country. His performances earned him a 14th-place finish in the Ballon d’Or rankings and made him a favourite for the CAF Player of the Year award.
Solanke also mentioned Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, calling him “one of the best in the world.”
While Solanke continues to shine for Tottenham, his connection to Nigeria remains evident through his support and admiration for Super Eagles stars.
