Don’t waste your time playing Nigeria – warns Ghana parliament member Patrick Boamah
Patrick Boamah has advised the Black Stars of Ghana to forfeit their World Cup qualifying clash against Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Ghanaian parliament member in an interview said the team needs a rebuild and would be exposed against Nigeria.
According to him the Nigerian team looked too good for the current Ghanaian team.
“If need be, we should dissolve our national team and prepare a team over the next five years,” Boamah said on the floor of parliament, according to Citi Sports.
“We should not waste our time playing Nigeria in the next World Cup qualifier.
“Look at the team Nigeria has, even though they are out of the tournament, I don’t think with this current set-up, we can stand the Nigerians.”
The first leg of the game between the Super Eagles and Black Stars will be played in Accra with return leg in Nigeria.
