DR Congo overcome Guinea 3-1 to secure AFCON 2023 semi-final berth
DR Congo secured a spot in the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations by coming from behind to beat Guinea 3-1 in the quater-final clash on Friday, Febuary 2, 2024.
Guinea took the lead from a penalty kick after twenty minutes of action but DR Congo rallied back to win the game in convincing manner.

- Mohamed Bayo put Guinea ahead with a 20th-minute penalty.
- Chancel Mbemba equalized for DR Congo seven minutes later with a goal from a narrow angle.

- DR Congo took the lead with a penalty converted by Yoane Wissa after Julian Jeanvier fouled Silas.
- Arthur Masuaku sealed the victory with a free-kick that caught Guinea goalkeeper Ibrahim Kone off guard.
