Drogba hails Osimhen talent, warns against PSG move
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has hailed the talent of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen but has warned him against a move to PSG this summer.
French Ligue One giants are listed among clubs interested in the services of the 24-year old but Drogba believes the striker is not ripe and needs to go elsewhere to continue his progress.
“He (Osimhen) is really in the sights of a club like PSG,” Drogba told Canal Plus.
“It shows the full extent of his talent and the season he is having.
“But PSG is not the club he needs to continue his progress.” the former Ivory Coast skipper advised.
Osimhen sees Drogba as his childhood Idol and may take the veterans advice in the face of multiple choices expected this summer following an explosive season with Italian Serie A champions-in-waiting Napoli.
Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Didier Drogba`s old club Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian striker this summer.
The masked Nigerian striker has scored 26-goals in 30 appearances this season reason pundits have predicted a successful transition to one of Europe`s biggest clubs but Drogba holds a different view.
Reports say PSG sporting director Luis Ocampos has held talks with Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda on two occasions already over a possible summer move to the French capital where he could possibly line-up alongside superstars Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.
