Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has shared an easy solution for teams to stop Arsenal’s dangerous set-piece routines.
Arsenal has been very good at scoring from corners this season, with many goals coming from these situations. In fact, they scored two goals from corners in their 2-0 win against Manchester United.
Drogba, who scored eight goals against Arsenal in his career, suggested a way to stop them. He said teams should put a player 10 meters in front of the corner taker and ask him to jump to block the delivery. He also recommended that the goalkeeper be ready to catch any loose balls, with defenders helping protect him.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said his team works hard on set-pieces to make sure they can score from them. He added that they want to be effective in all parts of their game, not just set-pieces, and praised their variety in attack.
Next, Arsenal will play Fulham in a London derby.
