Durant leads Warriors past Rockets, Hawks beat disgruntled Bulls
The Golden State Warriors proved another point regarding their status as the best team in the NBA by beating the Houston Rockets 125-108 on their own court on Friday.
Kevin Durant continued his good form by scoring 32 points on 12 of 19 shooting with seven assists and four rebounds.
Stephen Curry added 24 points with seven assists and Draymond Green flirted with a triple-double by tallying 15 points with eight rebounds and seven assists.
WONDERFUL WARRIORS
The Warriors have now routed the Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Rockets in successive games, proving they are a cohesive unit full of unselfish stars.
The Warriors even quelled scorching-hot James Harden, holding him to just 17 points. Though he did add 11 assists and seven rebounds.
KEMBA WALKER SHINES IN HORNETS WIN
Charlotte’s Kemba Walker was on fire in the Hornets’ 113-78 thrashing of the Toronto Raptors.
He scored 32 points on 11 of 16 shooting – six of nine from beyond the arc – while also dishing out eight assists and hauling in four rebounds
He reached his final total in just three quarters of action.
76ERS WIN DESPITE JOEL EMBIID INJURY
Ersan Ilyasova starred with 24 points and six rebounds during Philadelphia’s 93-92 win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
He drained five of six from beyond the arc, which came at the perfect time after coach Brett Brown just praised backup Dario Saric.
Joel Embiid added 18 points with 10 rebounds and five assists before leaving the game without returning for precautionary reasons because of a left knee contusion.

BUTLER SOUNDS OFF AFTER LOSS TO HAWKS
Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler did not mince words when explaining what he felt following Friday’s 102-93 loss to the Atlanta Hawks.
“We got to come out better, man,” Butler said, via ESPN.com. “We got to start playing better from the jump. Forty-eight minutes, man. It’s terrible basketball. That’s not the way we’re supposed to play.”
New Orleans lost 143-114 against the hapless Brooklyn Nets, allowing eight players to score in double figures.
Orlando’s Aaron Gordon scored 17 points with eight rebounds in a 112-96 win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Meanwhile, the Utah Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks 112-107, the Memphis Grizzlies edged the Sacramento Kings 107-91 and the Los Angeles Lakers overcame the Indiana Pacers 108-96.
SPURS TO BATTLE CAVALIERS
Kawhi Leonard continues to lead the San Antonio Spurs (33-9) on both ends of the floor, and Gregg Popovich may have found a new threat in rookie point guard Dejounte Murray.
Cleveland (30-11), meanwhile, need to get healthy and regain their confidence after a bad spell.
