Durant masterclass puts Nets on brink of Conference finals
Nets lead playoff series 3-2
Kevin Durant put on a performance for the ages as he helped the Brooklyn Nets to a 114-108 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 5 of their NBA Conference semifinals. The Brooklyn Nets now lead the series 3-2.
With Kyrie Irving missing due to injury, Durant took it upon himself to engineer a win for his team and he did it all, recording a triple double in the encounter. Durant finished the game with 49 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists, a remarkable contribution from one man. For the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokoumpo scored 34 points, but it wasn’t sufficient for them.
Both teams will now go into Game 6 of their Conference semifinal knowing it can be the decider, and the Brooklyn Nets will fancy their chances of reaching the Conference final early.
