Eagles out of top 5 in Africa, drop to 40 in latest FIFA Rankings
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped out of the top five countries in Africa and also lost places in the world ranking on FIFA’s latest rankings.
Absence from the 2022 FIFA World Cup and particularly poor results have pushed Nigeria further down to 40th in the world and 6th in Africa.
Defeats to Portugal, Algeria, Costa Rica, and Guinea Bissau in Abuja did not help Nigeria’s case.
There is still no place for Ghana in the top 10 despite their FIFA World Cup outing.
