Heat back in NBA Finals following dominant showing
Miami Heat booked their spot in the NBA Finals after an impressive 103-84 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final at TD Garden.
After claiming the first three games of the series, the Miami Heat gave up the next three games, setting up a decider on the road against the Celtics, who were heavily favoured to win the series.
The Heat started Game 7 with greater energy and did not give an inch to the Celtics, holding the lead at the end of each quarter.
Jimmy Butler led the scoring for the Heat with 28 points, and Caleb Martin scored 26 points and ten rebounds in the game. Bam Adebayo scored 12 points and ten rebounds in the game, as well.
Derrick White scored 18 points for the Celtics and Jaylen Brown finished the game with 19 points as they bowed to superior opposition.
Butler was named Eastern Conference Final MVP and will lead his side against the Denver Nuggets in the Final from Thursday.
