Edidiong Ezekiel gets Super Eagles B call-up for Costa Rica friendly
After impressing with the U-23 Eagles, Remo Stars forward Edidiong Ezekiel has been called up to the Super Eagles B team for the international friendly game vs Costa Rica.
The former Dakkada FC forward was part of the Olympic Eagles team that secured a 3-1 aggregate win over Tanzania in the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers late last month.
Edidiong Ezekiel and 14 other players SportsRation understands are already in camp for the International friendly game vs Costa Rica.
The Super Eagles A team were the proposed opposition for the World Cup bound Costa Rican’s but that will change as the Super Eagles B team will hit San Jose for the game instead.
The CHAN Eagles players are currently training in Ibadan ahead of the game on November 10, 2022 under the supervision of Coach Salisu Yusuf and the CHAN Eagles crew.
Also spotted in training with the Eagles B team on Monday were the likes of Samuel Kalu, Paul Samson, Kayode Bankole, Nathaniel Nwosu, Evans Ogbonda, Mustapha Jibril, Alex Jerry, Garba Suleiman and 7 others.
Edidiong Ezekiel and the Super Eagles B team will depart Nigeria for San Jose later this week where they will be joined by some foreign based players.
Their opponents for the friendly game Costa Rica are preparing for the 2022 FIFA World Cup where they are paired against Spain, Germany and Japan in Group E.
