Edo State Government puts Odigie, Bazuaye and Ikhenoba in charge of Bendel Insurance for 2018 season
The Edo State Government has appointed Monday Odigie, Baldwin Bazuaye and Greg Ikhenoba as the manager, chief coach and assistant coach of the rebranded Bendel Insurance Football Club ahead of the 2017-18 season.
The newly formed technical crew led by experienced Monday Odigie has been charged to bring the former Nigerian champions back to the top flight.
Monday Odigie was Samson Siasia assistant coach to the 2005 World youth championship in Netherlands, he was also an aisstant coach to Siasia to 2008 and 2016 Olympics.
He also worked with John Obuh in 2009 when Nigeria finished 2nd at the FIFA U-17 world cup hosted in Nigeria.
It was Odigie who lead Bayelsa United to the 2007 Nigeria Premier League title.
Bazuaye, the new Chief Coach of the Club is an Ex-junior international who played for the Flying Eagles. His last Coaching assignment was with the Kastina United, a Division 1 Club side.
Mr. Greg Ikhenoba is contracted to assist Bazuaye. The assistant Coach also played for the Flying Eagles. The contracts which are for the 2018 Football Season take effect from January 2nd 2018.
