Ekong happy and ready for PAOK transfer

Nigerian defender Willam Troost-Ekong is happy and ready ahead of his transfer to Greek club PAOK this summer.

The 29-year old spent the last six months on loan at Italian Serie A club Salernitana, helping the team survive relegation from the top-flight after the 2022/2023 season.

“I hope all the procedures will be finished quickly and I will go to Holland as soon as possible,” Troost-Ekong told Gazzetta.it.

“Diego Biseswar called me and he only said good things about the team, he was here for eight years and he was very happy. He told me to come to PAOK.”

According to multiple sources, PAOK will pay 1 million pounds to Watford as transfer fee for the Super Eagles vice captain with medicals expected this week.
