El-Kanemi Warriors hammer Akwa United to go top and end Promise Keepers unbeaten run

El-Kanemi Warriors put four goals past Akwa United to end their seven games unbeaten run and their place at the top of group B log.

The game in Markudi was a clash for the top of the group B log with both El Kanemi Warriors and Akwa United on the same points going into the clash.

Kabir Balogun, Sani Abbani, Sunday Anthony and Bello Kofarmata were on target for El-Kanemi Warriors as Godspower Aniefiok strike for Akwa United was only consolatory goal.

Kabir Balogun opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, Sani Abbani made it two in the 69th minute but Godspower Aniefiok pulled one back for Akwa United.

Four minutes later El-Kanemi Warriors restored their two goals lead in the 82nd minute with Sunday Anthony strike.

Akwa finished the game with 10 men after Elu Wilson got a second booking for dissent.

The rout was completed Bello Kofarmata 90th strike from the spot.

The win ended Akwa United seven games unbeaten run while it increased El-Kanemi unbeaten run to three.
