Emmanuel Amuneke relieved after first NPFL win with Heartland FC

Heartland FC head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has expressed relief after his team secured their first win of the Nigeria Premier Football League season.

The Naze Millionaires beat Niger Tornadoes 2-0 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday, ending a winless streak. Michael Ogu scored both goals in the matchday 5 fixture.

Before this victory, Heartland had only managed one draw and three losses in their previous four matches.

“I’m happy for the players,” Amuneke said. “We deserved this moment of joy. It brings us relief and boosts our confidence ahead of our next match against El Kanemi.”

Amuneke, who joined Heartland FC a few months ago, is considered one of the highest-paid coaches in the NPFL.
