Emmanuel Dennis set for Watford return
Watford has reportedly reached an agreement to bring Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis back to the club on loan. SportsRation reports.
According to Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal involves Dennis returning to Watford from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
Dennis, who currently plays for Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir on loan, is expected to rejoin Watford after taking a 70% pay cut to return to Vicarage Road.
The Hornets, currently in the Championship, are positioned 9th in the table, just three points and goal difference away from a playoff spot.
The Nigerian forward initially joined Watford from Club Brugge in July 2021, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 67 games for the club.
After a year, he moved to Nottingham Forest in August 2022. However, his time at the City Ground has seen limited playing time, featuring in 25 matches and contributing two goals and three assists.
Pending the completion of the loan deal, a medical for Emmanuel Dennis is reportedly scheduled for today (Tuesday).
