Emotional statement shared by Coach Paul Offor after his Sporting Lagos FC sack
Former Head Coach of Sporting Lagos, Paul Offor, has expressed his emotions in a heartfelt message following his sack by the Lagos-boys on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Caoch Offor in a tweet shared on his official handle, extended his gratitude to all the players, management, and everyone involved during his tenure of 15 months at the club.
He wrote “After spending 15 months together, I pondered deeply on the best way to bid farewell to this remarkable football club, Sporting Lagos. It felt like home since my first arrival. I owe immense gratitude to the players and staff who welcomed me warmly from the beginning.
“More specifically, I wish to thank all the players who worked under my guidance, from the national league to NPFL. Together, we created magic!
“A special acknowledgment to Mr. Godwin Enakhena, Coach Paul Aigbogun, Ayobami Animasahun, Yemisi Cole, and Nneoma Ukandu for their unwavering support. To the Sporting Lagos media team led by David Odunlami, you have my utmost affection.
“Together, we restored Premier League football to Lagos. We fortified Lagos as our stronghold. Thank you for the consistent support as our 12th man. I am forever indebted. I cherish you all.
“Lastly, to the incredible fans of Sporting Lagos, thank you for rallying behind me and the team. Thank you for always engaging with us. Your enthusiasm created a special ambiance for us to represent the badge with pride.
“I extend my gratitude to Shola Akinlade, Ekene Agu, and Fola Olatunji-David for their faith and trust in me; overseeing an institution like Sporting Lagos comes with significant responsibility, yet you consistently prioritized the welfare of everyone associated with the club.
“While I cannot acknowledge all the remarkable individuals within this esteemed club, I express my sincere appreciation to Mr. Vincent Enakhena (kits and equipment manager), John Olowookere (masseur), Mr. Sunday (Mobolaji Johnson Stadium), and Mr. Ola (Legacy Pitch) for their unwavering support.” Paul Offor concluded.
