Endrick Joins Lyon on short term loan from Real Madrid

Endrick has completed a six month loan move from Real Madrid to Olympique Lyon, where he will spend the second half of the season in search of regular playing time.

The 19 year old striker made his breakthrough at Palmeiras in Brazil before joining Real Madrid last summer, but limited opportunities have restricted him to a handful of appearances and one La Liga goal.

Lyon will take the forward from January 1 until the end of the season, paying a one million euro loan fee and covering half of his wages. There is no option to buy, and Endrick is expected to return to Madrid next summer.

The move gives Endrick a chance to play regularly in Ligue 1 under Paulo Fonseca, with Lyon currently fifth in the table and dealing with injuries in attack.
