English Premier League big boys decide on Victor Osimhen as top summer transfer target
Victor Osimhen will once again be hot in the market when the season ends and Arsenal have reportedly decided on him as top target for the summer transfer window.
Mikel Arteta is said to be focused on signing Victor Osimhen when the transfer window opens in June.
Arsenal did not strengthen their attack in January, despite making a late attempt to sign Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa. After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup, the Gunners have now set their sights on Osimhen for the summer.
According to MSN Africa (via Punch), Arteta has made Osimhen a priority. The 26-year-old Nigerian international will be available for around 75 million euros when his loan deal at Galatasaray ends.
Osimhen has been in excellent form since joining Galatasaray on loan, scoring 17 goals and providing 6 assists in 22 appearances this season. He has also attracted interest from top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, and PSG.
Osimhen has scored 6 goals in 6 matches for Galatasaray in the competition. Juventus are also interested in him, but it’s unlikely that Napoli will sell him to a direct rival.
A move to Arsenal could be a great fit as the Gunners need a reliable goalscorer. Gabriel Jesus has struggled with injuries since joining from Manchester City, and Kai Havertz has not yet made a big impact when it matters most.
