Enyimba Coach Eguma Blames Missed Chances for Draw Against Rivers United

Enyimba’s technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, says his team failed to win on Sunday because they could not take their chances in front of goal.

The People’s Elephant were held to a goalless draw by Rivers United in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday seven clash in Aba.

Enyimba had more of the ball and created better chances, but they could not find the back of the net.

Despite the result, Eguma praised his players for their effort.

“It was a good game, very exciting, and had all the qualities of a top Premier League match,” Eguma said after the game. “My players gave everything, but we just couldn’t finish our chances.”

“In the first half especially, we had some clear opportunities to score, but we wasted them.”

Enyimba remain in second place on the NPFL table after the draw.

They will face Kun Khalifat FC in their next match.
