EPL Week 1 wrap up: Big wins for City, Liverpool as United trash Chelsea

The 2019-20 season started with the clash between Liverpool and Norwich City at the Anfield with the European champions smashing the Premier League debutants 4-1. 

 A Grant Hanley own goal, Mohamed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk and Divock Origi strike sealed the 4-1 win while Teemu Pukki scored the only goal for Norwich.

Liverpool lost their Brazilian goalie Alisson Becker but he was replaced by another experienced goalie in Adrian.

Raheem Sterling led the Cityzen as they smashed West Ham 5-0 at Upton Park on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola men sent shock waves across the league as they won at West Ham with ease.

Raheem Sterling scored three goals, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus were also on scorers’ chat.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goals as Unai Emery side secured a hard fought 1-0 away for Arsenal against Newcastle at St James Park.

Tottenham left it late before they could break their stubborn opponents, the newly promoted Aston Villa.

John McGinn put the visitors in front and were running home with the surprise win before Tanguy Ndombele equalized in the 73rd minutes.

Harry Kane added a brace in the 86 and 90th minutes to complete the 3-1 win.

Manchester United smashed Chelsea 4-0 to welcome their rookie coach to the Premier League.

Marcus Rashford scored a brace, Anthony Martial and new signing Daniel James were all on target as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer men smashed Frank Lampard boys.
