Eric Chelle names Super Eagles B Squad for CHAN

Head Coach Eric Chelle has unveiled his final 23-man squad for Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team ahead of the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), taking place from 2nd to 30th August across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Leading the team are captain Junior Harrison Nduka, forward Godwin Obaje, and defender Sikiru Alimi, alongside a solid mix of home-based talents who have impressed during the team’s intensive camp at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Also making the final list are goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena Ani (Enyimba FC), midfielder Alex Oyowah (Remo Stars), and striker Ijoma Anthony (Abia Warriors).
The squad is set to travel to Zanzibar on Thursday evening, where they will continue preparations with a second-phase training camp from 25th to 31st July. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has arranged two friendly matches against the Senior National Team of Zanzibar — on Monday, 28th July and Thursday, 31st July — to help fine-tune the team before the tournament begins.
Nigeria, silver medallists in 2018 and bronze winners in 2014, have been drawn in Group D of the 19-team tournament alongside defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
The Eagles will play their first two group matches against Senegal and Sudan at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar before facing Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
