Erling Haaland hat-trick Powers Manchester City to 3-1 Victory Over West Ham

Erling Haaland showcased his scoring prowess once again, netting a hat-trick to lead Manchester City to a 3-1 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.

This win not only maintained City’s perfect start to the Premier League season but also propelled them back to the top of the table.

West Ham, under the guidance of new manager Julen Lopetegui, began the match with high energy, encouraged by their passionate home crowd. Jarrod Bowen came close to giving the Hammers an early lead with a powerful shot that tested City’s goalkeeper, Ederson.

Despite West Ham’s early promise, Manchester City gradually took control of the game. Haaland opened the scoring after capitalizing on a mistake by Lucas Paquetá, calmly slotting the ball past Alphonse Areola to put the visitors ahead.

West Ham responded with determination, and their efforts were rewarded when a Rúben Dias own goal brought them level. However, City’s dominance soon became evident as Haaland struck again with a clinical finish, marking his sixth goal of the season.

The Norwegian striker’s second goal highlighted Manchester City’s intricate passing and control in the attacking third. Haaland received the ball near the penalty area and unleashed a powerful shot that left Areola with no chance.

In the second half, both teams had their moments, but it was Haaland who sealed the win with his third goal. A perfectly timed through ball from Matheus Nunes found Haaland, who completed his hat-trick with another composed finish.

The victory extended Manchester City’s unbeaten away run in competitive matches to 19 games, showcasing their strength and consistency. West Ham, meanwhile, suffered their second home defeat of the Premier League season, despite showing flashes of quality under Lopetegui’s management.

With this win, Manchester City reclaims the top spot in the Premier League, while Haaland continues to be a key figure in their title defense.
