Erling Haaland praises Pep Guardiola as the best manager in history

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has described Pep Guardiola as the greatest manager in the world, possibly the best in football history.

Guardiola has achieved remarkable success at Manchester City, including six Premier League titles and a historic treble in 2023. Recently, he extended his contract with the club until 2027.

Haaland, who joined City in 2022, has been a key player under Guardiola. The Norwegian striker has continued his excellent form in the 2024/25 season, leading the league with 12 goals so far.

When asked about Guardiola, Haaland didn’t hold back in his praise.

“He is the best manager in the world,” Haaland said. “Probably the best manager who ever existed on the earth.

“I expected a lot from him, and he delivers every single second. I am super happy, and you can see that in my performance on the pitch.”
