Everton Want Super Eagles Star Moses Simon

English Premier League side Everton are keen to sign Nigerian winger Moses Simon from French club FC Nantes.

The Merseyside team, who have won the league nine times, have struggled in recent seasons, narrowly avoiding relegation. But with new owners and David Moyes now guiding the team, Everton are planning a fresh start – and Moses Simon is one of their main summer transfer targets.

According to Goodison News, Everton have already sent scouts to France to closely follow Simon’s performances. The 28-year-old is enjoying his best season yet in Ligue 1, with 7 goals and 9 assists in 28 matches for Nantes.

Simon’s contract with Nantes is set to expire in 2025, and with the French club battling to avoid relegation, they are likely to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free. He is expected to be available for around £12.8 million.

Reports suggest that Simon has told his agent to find him a move to the Premier League. And with Everton’s playing style based on quick transitions and counterattacks, his pace and direct style would be a perfect fit.

The former Genk winger would also bring experience and quality to a team that lacks natural wide players with his level of ability. If the move happens, Simon could become a key figure in Moyes’ new-look Everton side next season.

Other clubs in Europe are also interested, but Everton look serious about making a move. Where Simon ends up next season remains to be seen, but a Premier League switch is looking more likely than ever.
