Ezenwa confirms FCIU departure
Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has aannounced his departure from Nigeria Professional Football League side FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
The former Sunshine Stars goalie stated that he has made proper consultations and considerations and will reveal his new transfer in due time.
“After making some consultations and putting considerations in place, the new club will be unveiled very soon in an occasion that I will sign a new jersey,” Ezenwa told Newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
“Although my contract with FC Ifeanyi Ifeanyi Uba is over but I have considered leaving them after contract expiration”.
The 29-year-old further stated that his ultimate aim is to make the 23-man squad to represent Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup.
The 2008 Olympic silver medalist was recalled back to the Nigerian national team by Gernot Rohr following the injury of Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme and has since been the Eagles no. 1 choice
