FA Cup specialist Iheanacho sends Leicester City into last 8

Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho scored a 94th minute header to help Leicester City progress to the Quarterfinals of the 2021 Emirates FA Cup by a 1-0 scoreline against fellow Premier League side, Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 24 year old scored his 5th goal of the season for Leicester City as they knocked out Brighton in the FA Cup 5th round after he came on as a substitute for fellow striker, Jamie Vardy in the 62nd minute of the encounter. With the game looking set to head into extra time, a quickly taken corner saw Iheanacho direct a header across Walton in the Brighton goal for the winning goal in the game that had two goals disallowed, one from each team.

With his goal tonight, Iheanacho now has 11 goals in 17 career FA Cup appearances, making him the second highest African goalscorer in the history of the English FA Cup, only one behind Didier Drogba who has the most goals with 12.
