Facundo Pelistri happy with first chance at Manchester United
Facundo Pelistri is happy with the first-team opportunity he is currently enjoying under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
The Uruguayan has played in three of four Manchester United last games, and seven in total after playing in zero before the world cup.
Facundo Pelistri played all three games for Uruguay who failed to make it out of the group that had Portugal, South Korea, and Ghana.
He impressed in all three games and definitely impressed Erik ten Hag.
“It makes me very happy to have more participation in the team,” Facundo Pelistri told ESPN.
“I recently played as a starter, [and] that helps you feel better, both in training and on a day-to-day basis.
“Hopefully, I can follow this path, continue contributing, and, at the end of the season, I can win all the possible titles with the club.”
Facundo Pelistri also talked about the support he gets from Manchester United fans, and Uruguayans.
“It makes me happy,” he continued. “It would be worse if nobody wanted to see me play.
“Feeling that support from both the Uruguayans and the people from Manchester, wanting me to play, motivates you and makes you keep putting in [the effort] to have those opportunities that are coming and I’m enjoying them.”
As Manchester United play Newcastle this weekend at St. James’ Park, Facundo Pelistri will be hoping he gets a chance to continue to prove his worth to the team.
