‘Fair play’ is not a French word – Gabon coach Patrice Neveu hits back at Ghana
calls out Black Stars antics
Gabon head-coach Patrice Neveu has hit back at Andre Ayew and Ghana after the Black Star captain faulted the The Panthers for their role in the fight that broke out on Friday.
There was a small brawl at the end of the Africa Cup of Nations Group C clash between Gabon and Ghana where the Black Stars accused The Panthers for lack of sportsmanship.
Black Star captain Andre Ayew said the Panthers exhibited small behaviour but Patrice Neveu has hit back saying ‘fair play’ is not a French word.
Patrice Neveu also called out Black Stars antics in the clash at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo.
“I respect Ghana. ‘Fair Play’ is an English word; we don’t have it in French. Fair Play means Ghana should’ve stopped trying to waste time and breaking the game. Don’t come and preach me on Fair Play. We saw a chance and we took it.” Gabon coach Patrice Neveu
